Patna
Reading Room

The Patna Reading Room is the youngest and smallest collection in the Urbs Indis Library, a literary irony introducing one of the oldest and longest inhabited cities in the world.

Francis Buchanan’s An Account of the Districts of Bihar and Patna in 1811-1812, is a recommended starting point for archival immersion into the city on the Ganges River.

* All Urbs Indis material is accessible by appointment at the Urban Design Research Institute Library in Kala Ghoda, Mumbai.

*Digitization inquiries will be addressed on a case-by-case basis. Please write to [email protected]
